Lowering the barrier to Kansas City waterways

Grassroots outdoor recreation built on safety, skill-sharing, and shared river time for paddlers of all experience levels.

Our Roots

Volunteer leadership and regional conservation

KC Paddling Club was founded on a simple premise: getting on the water should not require expensive gear or prior competitive experience. Certified volunteer coordinators lead every sanctioned paddle group, ensuring that newcomers receive proper dockside orientation before any boat touches the current.

Beyond weekly group paddles, active stewardship keeps local launch ramps clean and protected. We work alongside regional parks and conservation teams to maintain access points across Penn Valley and Lake Jacomo, fostering deep respect for our local watershed.

Safety First

We check life jackets before we talk stroke technique. Everyone stays safe, everyone paddles together.

River Access

Keeping our regional rivers accessible, respected, and clean for every generation.

Paddling is an opportunity to stay active, build confidence, and develop lasting friendships in a supportive outdoor environment.
